It will appeal probably to people who have left home and realized that the teen-age life is gone and you can never get it back. Suddenly you appreciate everything your parents did for you, even though at the time, when you were a teen-ager, you just couldn’t stand them. Then you’re older and you realize how cool your parents were and how nice your childhood did Dolores' childhood impact on songwriting?Yeah, I think so. I had a really good childhood. She had like nine kids and lost two so there were seven of us. And we all lived in one house with two bedrooms and a kitchen until I was seven. When I was seven, the house burnt down. But the one thing I can always remember is that we were always incredibly happy because the most important thing was a good dinner. When I was a kid there was a good dinner on the table every day, that we had clean clothes every morning for school. And we were warm in bed at night. And we just really kind of grew up with very little materialism. And I think it was quite a spiritual childhood really. Every night, it was really weird, my Dad used to say the Rosary. And he used to make us all kneel on the ground for a half an hour and say our Hail Mary’s. So it was a very old Irish romantic childhood. And I think it was beautiful really. —Via ForbesIs there a live performance video for this song?Yes! The Cranberries performed “Ode to My Family” at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. The follow-up single “Ode To My Family,” was a top 40 hit as well. In 1996, The Cranberries collaborated with Bruce Fairbairn ( Bon Jovi, Aerosmith) on their third album To The Faithful Begrijp de dingen die ik zeg, keer je niet af van mij Want ik heb mijn halve leven daar doorgebracht, je zou er niet tegen in gaan Kun je me zien? Kun je me zien? Vind je me aardig? Bevalt het je dat ik hier sta? Merk je het op? Weet je het? Kun je me zien? Kun je me zien?
